Ya I find most of the flying mounts are hideous, except my netherdrake of course. Although there is one flying mount that is on my "Oh my god, want, NOW!" list. Oh god Frost Wyrm! (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=46171#screenshots) Currently only obtainable by being awesome in arena but hopefully they will give us a PvE version of it that is equally awesome looking (maybe in Icecrown instances? Prease? I don't want to raid for it lol).
