Stargate: Universe

I've recommended the series once before here, but after this week's ep I really need to do it again!

If you liked Battlestar Galactica, watch SG:U.

If you like dark stories with morally ambiguous characters, watch SG:U. (Edit: Well, to be fair, that should be "character" instead of plural... but he's one of the best characters so he can count for more than one person? :P )

I really, really hope it's getting enough viewers to not be canceled (it's getting about as many as SGA did last year, so I'm a bit worried).

*wiggles and wants more more more!*

Eeee! *bounces on you* So what do you think? Do you think Rush did what the guy at the end thought he did? (Vague to avoid spoilers!) That was my so very favorite part of the whole series so far! I hope he did do it, it'd make his character even more interesting!

I think he absolutely did. =) I think Rush has thoughts for two things - science, and himself. Nothing else has relevance save for how it helps advance the other two.

Sound right to you?

Yes! That sounds dead-on, and I hope you're right! He's such a cool character. :D

Actually I don't think he did. Not intentionally. What seems to drive his character is pride. I think he would rather be seen as a jerk by not denying the accusations than admit that there was a scenario he hadn't considered.

I'm going with this ^ as well.

Also keeping it vague to avoid spoilers: While he hadn't considered the scenario with the ship to be a possibility until it was too late to change the other decision made earlier in the episode...I doubt that he had a single concern for the potential outcome of the earlier decision.

I also agree with [livejournal.com profile] pomr's comment.

Really hope this show doesn't get dropped!

Interesting spin. =) Personally I'm sticking with him having known, and allowing that other decision since it would reduce the burden on Destiny. =)

Only semi-related, but how cool of a ship name is Destiny?

Man, I love so much about this show!

Ooooh, that's a really good idea, too! I could totally see that being the case (though I still hope it was his plan all the while). Either way, I can't wait to find out more!
