Signs you're getting old...

It's not even 10 AM and I've fallen for TWO April Fool's jokes already. Two! I usually get through the day without buying into even one. My mind's slipping...

The [livejournal.com profile] wow_ladies one got me because, well, it fit. That comm gets mocked for being too carebear, and so banning all hardmode-related posts fit.

The other was a personal LJ one (someone quitting WoW because they turned 30 and WoW is for kids). I have ZERO excuses for that one.

And yay, the LJ header of the month is nice. Though after last month's horrible one, anything would be better.

PS: I'm not usually one for cutting edge slang, but I really like this carebear one. It's meant to be insulting, but I usually take it to be a positive instead.

It's okay. I totally fell for G.R.R.Martin's April Fools joke. I about had a heart-attack until I kept reading. Then I just laughed. But man. That one totally got me, especially since I'd been thinking something along those lines just the other day, upon hearing that Dance with Dragons was up to 1600 pages and climbing...

I also enjoy carebear, because I am so not hardcore. My brain goes SPANG whenever I am enticed into "just a quick random" and then guildies want to work on some achievement.

Also, I love the Care Bears! I am poised between the uphill and downhill slide toward the forties, and yet I still find it extremely upsetting that Care Bears in Wonderland was NEVER RELEASED ON DVD. D:
