Wow. I don't watch the Simpsons anymore, so I missed this last night.

See the opening here!

It's so good to hear the music again, and the whole opening is so well done! Eeeee Less than a month until new eps!

Also, since I'm posting,
I still haven't read the graphic novel, so last night's death came as something of a surprise. It amused me though, earlier in the ep he had said something like "What's this world come to? Survival of the fittest?" and I replied "Yep... and you're not the fittest". Then a short time later, DEAD!

Carl is becoming quite the interesting character. I'd love to fastforward and see what he's going to be like as an adult.

I have not watched The Simpsons for years. Literally years. And last night my son and I were flipping through channels and saw it was on, and I was curious to see if it's really gone downhill as much as I've heard, so we checked it out for a few minutes and just happened to see that opening. My son LOVES the GoT opening and he got such a huge kick out of that.

(But then we only watched about 5 minutes of the show because yes, it definitely has gone waaaaaay downhill.)

Agreed. I did catch a few minutes in the middle of the ep at random, but what little I saw didn't make me want to watch more. I'm with you, it's been years since I've seen a full ep. I don't even watch the reruns of the earlier seasons anymore.

Too bad they can't make their whole eps as good as this opening was!

I loved the Three-Eyed Crows coming from the nuclear plant, great for a laugh.

I don't watch the show or read the graphic novel, as I'm not really that much into zombies, but I did happen to see an article that stated said death does not happen in the graphic novels, and that said character actually has a relationship with another character in the graphic novels, which will obviously not be happening in the TV series. The writer approved it, though, so he's all for alternate continuities.

Ah! I had heard mention of a relationship that was in the graphic novels but not in the show. I really need to read them soon! I'm just worried about not being able to stop reading and being spoiled for future show eps.
