GOOD. That's a great thing to do, as we've discussed.

Yeah. It's so easy to give advice, but so hard to take it. :P The "two steps forward and one back is still one step forward" was perfectly fitting for last night, but instead I wallowed.

...which is another good thing. People's weights tend to fluctuate from day to day, and constantly hawking the scale can also cause those flares of depression. More accurate would be to only weigh yourself once a week, because that's long enough to see "true" gain or loss, averaged out as it is over seven days.

Yep, totally agreed. I'll probably get curious/worried a couple times during the week, but I'm going to try to hold off until week's end to check again.

For a Week #2, it really shouldn't exceed 3-5 pounds.

That's what my mother (a nurse) said as well. She thinks I will/should lose 3-5 this week, then 3 next week, then it'll likely drop to 1-2, before going up and down in the 0-3 range for the rest of the weeks.

The down side to all this is how often I go grocery shopping. (Hate shopping, hate it so much.) But I really can't keep most fruit or deli meat on hand for more than a couple days.
