Fishing can be a good money maker. I say this only because a few alchemy recripes/reagents are fishes--firefin snapper and blackmouth whatever. And a lot of alchemy types don't fish but need those items. Yeeeah, I spent a lot of money in the AH on those stupid fish. ;)
