I put the 'fantasy' into Final Fantasy games (happy thing #4)

Most people playing male characters won't wear subligar (armor that looks like panties), even if the stats are better. I proudly wear them, and the women thank me.



I love how I seem to be thrusting my hips out at her... *rolls*

So Happy Thing #4 is men who aren't afraid to run around in panties FFXIV. I played for nearly twelve hours total today, way way way more than I intended. XIV isn't a clone of my beloved XI, but that's actually a good thing (see also: I had fun). XIV is such a nice game -- easy enough not to be frustrating but interesting enough to not at all be boring. Beautiful graphics (I can barely stand to look at WoW now), tons of cutscenes, and the quests so easily feed from one into the next -- it's so hard to stop playing! I swas smiling so much today.

I can never go back to FFXI, but FFXIV is familiar enough that it feels like an acceptable substitution.

I'm swimming in fish already! Hopefully sooner or later cooking will allow me to combine the two and make yummy honey fish, or something like that. :P

I keep hoping that too, but I'm getting more fish than I am yummy anything. And less and less inventory space.

Did do that instance and it wasn't bad at all. The duty finder does the work for you in arranging the party. Say you want in and wait. It gathers tank, healer, and dps, then teleports you to the dungeon. Was painless. The party I had was really good too. :)

Oh wow, that's good to know about the dungeon! Hopefully I'll get a good party too (or help from someone *points at Nilych's comment*).

It's three dungeons. >.< The first two went perfectly fine, but I had trouble on the third. Everything I read about the boss fights were apparently wrong. The party was screaming at me the whole instance, blaming me for everything. :( I'm just glad they are over.

Ugh, people got mad at you about that? The first three dungeons are supposed to be so new players can get a feel for things. Stupid, impatient people.

This is my favorite dungeon/boss fight guide site. Nicely laid out, good information.

Oh yeah, quite mad. I did try and read up on the fights, but they wanted things done a different way, then of course expected me to somehow instantly know what that way was without being told. :P I made it through at least.

I did know the group was going to be trouble when the healer and another dps were too impatient to wait for the tank and were pulling mobs. *sigh!* Done with and I have the retainer I desperately needed.

Gah! That's exactly what I'm afraid of! I did the first one tonight (40 minute queue time! And then 30 to do it! Blech!). I was exhausted after. Even though it went well, it felt so much like work. Then a couple 'run here and there' quests and now I'm up against another dungeon one. x.x I didn't even understand how the loot system worked, so I think I missed a chance on getting anything from most of it. (I think you have to click the chest each time?)

And on top of that, I somehow dropped or sold my bow, so I was using one 8 levels too low. I was worried people would be angry at my damage, but apparently damage meters don't exist yet, so whew.

So then I went to fish, hit 15, and got a giant pink tunic as my quest reward. x.x I gave up and went back to WoW to RP! :P But seriously, I loved the level 15 quest -- I love that whole city! ToAU mobs (looking exactly like they do in FFXI) and Corsairs!
