See? Totally not a daily Stardew Valley post.
I skipped a day! Here we go, catching up on this Death Stardew Valley game...
Holy crap, this was the most brutal death in just about any game I've played, including FFXI where you could actually go down in levels when you die...

SEVENTEEN items! Out of a total of, what, 30? I lost more than half of my tools. (Can you even buy the basic form of those back to re-upgrade? I don't think so?) Pain of that was, I just hit level 80 in the dungeon/mine. AND I had such good loot! So much work done that day, but I had no choice but to start the day over.
Also, yesterday or the day before, I died by being hit by the train. I didn't even know that could happen! That death just cost me 1,000 gold and two items, so I didn't reset it.
I've made some big, annoying mistakes lately. I got the ancient seed, but I planted it badly (too close to something) and now it won't finish growing. And, even though I read a guide telling me to buy no dungeon gear, I spent 6K (all my gold at the time) on a high level sword. ...two levels later, I hit a dungeon level that gave me a much, much better one. Sigh.
Also, I found out where your 'favorite item' comes in. I laughed out loud when I saw this! Linking to image because I believe I'm now ahead of
teaandfailure.
I'm mid-fall in my first year. My tools are everywhere from gold level (the two I use most) to the basic one (scythe, cause I never use it for anything). I got the animals like I wanted (cows, goats, chicken, ducks), and turns out I hate having animals. Way WAY too much work. And turns out I find milking animals disgusting (not surprising I suppose, since cow milk disgusts me too). As soon as I get the animal bundles done, I'm either getting rid of them or ignoring them. Except a pig, apparently everyone needs a pig to find truffles.
I'm seriously thinking about stopping all progress on upgrading everything and earning the 42,500 to donate (for the bundles) to fix the bus so I can go to the desert. The last fish I need is there...
This is the best gift I've been given in a long, long time. I'm very glad
teaandfailure didn't listen to me when I told her not to get it for me. :D

You are ahead of me at the mine, but I am in midwinter! I have actually gotten a lot better at fishing with the new equipment, I even won an ice-fishing tournament after telling the fisherman that I wasn't looking forward to it because I'm bad at fishing. So now I'm that girl who is like tee how how do cards do and then destroys everyone in poker.
DAAAAMN that IS a rough death. I bet it has something to do with how the game only saves overnight, so you lose everything you've done that day, no matter how much or little it is. But that can't be right, because you lost gold, and that doesn't accrue until the end of the day. SO DAMN Stardew Valley. Harsh.
I DIED LAUGHING ABOUT THE STARDROP, I have seen one for sale but I didn't buy it and AHAHAHA OH MY GOD HAKEN IS GOING TO BE MUGGING PEOPLE FOR THEM NOW.

Ooooh an ice fishing contest! Eeee can't wait for that.
And did you notice? SEBASTIAN'S BIRTHDAY IS TOTALLY IN WINTER! You were right? I wonder if we get more credit for gifts given on birthdays? I have a bunch of those frozen tears he likes best (and you know OF COURSE those are the first thing I tossed into that crystal-replicating machine!)
I'm actually up to four hearts with him, so I got a highly cute little cutscene! Eeeeee.
Seems like you can grow those stardrops! HAKEN WILL GROW NOTHING ELSE, BWAHAHAH. They actually help a lot if you dungeon. DUNGEON MINE WHATEVER WE CALL IT.

Also the other day I was walking back from the mine and I ran into him and he was like Queen Fucking Elsa all THE COLD NEVER BOTHERED ME ANYWAY, and I was like WELL GOOD THAT WILL SERVE YOU WELL WHEN YOU MOVE TO NORTHREND AND MARRY HAKEN.
I'm not sure if the birthday gifts count more than regular ones, but I think probably, because the people whose birthdays I remembered like me a LOT better than the ones who I didn't, unless they have given me lots of quests. I like it when the Wizard gives me quests. I wonder what M. stands for? M RASMODIUS. A good wizard name.

BWAHAHAH
As much as I like him (and I'm at FOUR HEARTS with him! Everyone else is at one at most), sometimes I think about going after someone more fitting for Haken. Penny's always reading and tutoring, and THAT'S TOTALLY LIKE TELLING STORIES! *googles* Man, Penny has easy items on 'loves' level too. Fish!
Speaking of quests, I failed at one for Sebastian. He wanted an eggplant. Why? TO THROW AT FACES IN THE MOUNTAINSIDE. I bet he was going to play on someone's lawn after that...
