Paging teaandfailure and orangerful: tersa is just starting to play Stardew Valley, and it's really fun to see posts from a new player!

I loaded up the game to get a screenshot, and I found I kind of missed it. Yay maybe my burnout is over? Maybe I'll give it another go. :D

I haven't played since the big patch, so there should be lots of new stuff to check out. Maybe I will this weekend.

I have been doing NOTHING BUT PLAYING IT this entire surgery recovery experience. Like I thought I was going to do other things. But no. NO I AM PLAYING IT LIKE IT JUST CAME OUT.
I think fishing was made a lot easier, I have caught two of the legendary fishies this round and it hasn't been HORRIBLY difficult, like I am not saying I didn't have to try, and one of them I did fish all day and lose it approximately ten times during that day before I caught it, but that is INFINITELY BETTER THAN I EVER WAS AT THE FISHING MINI GAME LAST GO ROUND.

... so yes, I will check out this individual who is just now starting, BUT I WILL TRY TO KEEP MY MOUTH SHUT, GAWD.

I always think of you when I play it because I am always so delighted by the difference in our playstyles, like I have only just now figured out how to have a profitable farm money wise, and you are a GOD DAMN MONEY MAKING MACHINE.

I really, really want to try playing the new maps. I spent a couple minutes playing that monster/adventuring/fighting/WHATEVER one, but need to play more!

I'm glad you're loving it again and that it's getting you through your recovery!

wait, are you implying it was an update and not my mad fishing skillz that caused me to do so well at the fishing mini game??????? I just thought my farmer/fisher/miner girl was just badass!

I finally completed the community center and now I'm just not sure what to do with my life...I guess I have this kid to raise but she's still baby so she doesn't do much. I throw her up in the air every morning then go out to farm. I had a slime farm now which I am not 100% sure what to do with LOL.

I've been so distracted by my other games, I haven't been back to Stardew in awhile! At least it isn't like that iPad Sims game where your people suffer if you ignore them!!!!

My solution to that is to start another farm. I have six or seven of them, three of them 3+ years. Some people keep the same one for six years, but I get bored once I've completed everything...

Unless it changed in the last patch, there's nothing to do with the kids, even as they grow up.

I liked having a slime farm, though like you said, there's nothing to do with them other than make more slimes. You can try to breed them for colors and HP, but... that's kind of meh.
