Tons o' screenshots (FFXI)

I wasn't going to post again today, but then I got to looking at my screenshots and said 'Well, it'll only take a couple minutes to edit these...' and so here I am.

Day ended up better than this morning (would have been hard not to). I didn't have much time, so I went out to learn BLU moves. Got MP Drainkiss off the first leech and Uppercut off the second Goob. Unfortunately even hours hunting walking trees in Jugner didn't give me Pinecone Bomb. :( That's the last pre-40 move I need.

Then we did NPC static which unfortunately was a lot rougher than usual. Usually I'd be able to say "but at least no one died!", but I can't this time. *cough*

Then we had fun! Farming sheep in the ToA area for their hides! Eee! Such cute sheep! Of the many, many great things this expansion pack has brought us, I think sleeping mobs is one of the best. Nothing like seeing a cute little sheepie with 'Zzzz' coming out of its mouth!

Look! Here's a sleepy sheepie now! Unfortunately it just happened to die soon after this screenshot was taken. Natural causes, I'm sure. c.c

How the "naked hume male torso" looks most of the time to me. See? No He-Man plastic chest or removable head, no tanline. Sometimes the lights/shadow do make the line visible, but in-game it looks like a shadow from his chin/jaw.

It's really surprising how some bare chests really change the game. I just love finally seeing chests! "Naked" should mean at least partially that! And naked Thistle can now chase other naked guys~! ("I LIKE GIRLS!" *snickersnort*)

Yay killing NM fishies~ Desant fished up two of these and we killed them both! Tough mob for such a small group, but it was fun!

Last but not least, on Saturday we had an amazing party. In the first 20 minutes or so we had a PL, but she died and we never got another (yay!). Ead wanted to see our PL's death. Click the line for the whole log:

You're right, it does look a lot better here than before. Its likely just the skin was never set up for the shadows to really look right one in by comparison to the standard skin. ToT and I liked mr. sheep, why did he have to die...

The pectoral muscles need to extend a little lower. It looks a bit weird like it is now.

Yeah, it's not perfect, but I almost never just sit there and study it. Usually I get just flashes and glimpses, and it looks fine like that. :)

I solo the NM fish Oboron a lot when I take the ship, mostly just to do something. It's easy for mnk/nin, I even did mnk/whm one time but i think i was lucky and it was an easier version. It has a move that does 500 dmg to me and goes through shadows without removing them, but I can chakra 360 hp back, so not so bad. It didn't do it when i was /whm. I often get no drop, just 100+ xp or so. And now the lure is just 1k on my server so even getting the drop is barely worth the space. (I got the meat too one time)

Yeah, that AoE damage move (I want to say it's called ... something Tail) was what hurt us. It did 350 to me and took our NIN and RDM down to half-life, then he did it again a moment later. Our NIN went down to 49! While the RDM healed, I WSed and it died. If it hadn't done that move twice in a row, it would have been lots easier. (The second time we had a SMN 75 as well, and the fishie fell right over.)

The lure is 2K for us, but we got it neither time (no big loss). We did get meat once, which was nice. No clue what it sells for, but the NIN stuck it in his bazaar to display. :)
