Cats and zombies!
While this zombie kitten video IS highly cute, I wouldn't be reposting it if not for the clever choice in music:
They used the theme from The Walking Dead, the best zombie end-of-the-world show ever on TV! (And man, I can't wait for the next season to start!) Credit to
achika_soladia for the video link!
In other cat-related news, while I hate Twitter, there's a Game of Thrones newsfeed that gathers all the ep-related tweets from the night and reposts them. Those I'm willing to read. Best one of the last ep?
@TNRLM: My cat was mesmerized my Arya chasing cats on #GameOfThrones. This show really does hit all demographics.
Ha!
My RL cat continues to not like Glee. I think all the singing bothers her (probably sounds like yowling or screaming). She'll sit there, staring at the TV, then when someone starts to sing her ears will slllloooowly pin backwards, then she runs off. She watches a lot of TV, but Glee is the only show that sends her running.

That made me laugh. A lot. Funnier still, I think your cat is the only person I know who doesn't like Glee. It's almost disturbing how that show is sweeping through my group of friends, devouring their souls like some unholy musical monstrosity. And it always starts the same way: "I'll never watch that show." Shortly thereafter someone finds a way to get them to watch a single episode and the next thing you know, "I watched all of it. I NEED MORE NOW." And most of the are guys.

Glee has something for everyone -- something to make everyone happy, and something to make everyone annoyed. It's probably the most gay-positive show on TV right now, and probably one of the top ones ever. (Which of course makes a section of America froth at the mouth.) It does popular music as well as old stuff, showtunes, and original/fan made/popular net songs. It's got a crapton of teen-targeted relationship drama in it (which annoys the older fanbase).
My biggest issue with the show is that it doesn't know what it is. Is it a serious show? Or is it a show we're not supposed to take seriously at all? That often switches multiple times within an ep, it's really annoying.
All in all though, it's the high point of my TV week. I look forward to 8 PM on Tuesdays every week (which sucks because 8:30 PM on Tuesday was when I took my cat to be put to sleep).
The music is often outstanding. Even when the song choices aren't styles I like (I disliked most of the music this week), I can still say that the songs were sung really really well. The acting? That's another story, ha.
Ramble, ramble! I recommend it, it's really got its moments!

The CDC's "official" zombie apocalypse preparedness plan! (http://blogs.cdc.gov/publichealthmatters/2011/05/preparedness-101-zombie-apocalypse/)
Ya, it's more of a fun way to get people information about how to prepare for more "realistic" disasters. But I'll say this, when the zombies come, they will wish they had a more solid plan!

Though would be somewhat worried that it might not be as good, because they're both kind of sung with a "robotic" voice. I heard a cover of the song by the lady who sung the song for Plants vs Zombies yesterday, and while it was nice and I may totally add it to my "Music To Do Homework To" playlist, it just didn't have the same catch to it.
