Should be in bed, but must post first!

Tonight's attempt at garlic knots were a lot worse than the first. I used some ideas from last post's comment-suggestions, including one I saw on a website: Using pizza dough from a tube instead of fresh. "No one knew the difference!" HA. Still, more than that failed. Cheese on it = NO. "Italian spices" = NO. Browning garlic in butter on stove first = yes.

But still, even fail garlic knots are still dough baked in butter and garlic, so are pretty win (at least taste-wise). Next time: No dough-in-a-tube, nothing but butter (or olive oil?) and garlic on dough.

WoW: *cough* I kind of hadn't realized my graphics settings weren't set at the max before now. Tonight I set them to 'ultra' (I think that's what the highest setting was), and ran through Dal. I had one tiny little bit of lag, but man, everything was so pretty! Going to leave it that way, unless lag shows up at later date.

Bed now! Yay bed, boo work tomorrow. :/

If I might make a recommendation regarding the graphics settings, you might consider turning shadows down. That one tends to lag anyone up, on any game really. =)

Really? It seemed fine last night, but I was only on for a few minutes. If it does lag, I'll lower them down! I'm used to shadows being just a black blob anyway. :)

Mine used to run without lag at max, but I eventually lowered it when I started to get some.

Now I'm curious to see if my PC will handle Ultra. =) It isn't nearly as macho as yours sounds, but it isn't bad. Will give it a go and hope for the best.

I'm hoping today's patch will improve things when it lifts the restriction on the processor affinity mask. Basically, WoW used to limit itself to running on the first two CPUs. If you had a quad-core machine then two of the cores would be sitting idle. And if you had a hyper-threaded quad-core it would only be using one core because it would be seen as two CPUs by Windows and thus perform even worse because 1 hyperthreaded CPU is not as good as two separate CPUs. So now it should be able to use more cores which, if you have a Core i7 like me, is good news!

They're going to be fixing that? Good. Kinda bought this quad core for games, so it'll be nice to see something working with it, instead of against it. :o

I'm worried about that. My old computer was great, and slowly lag started returning. :/

Yay! Good luck with it! :)

Huh! I had no idea! I have a quad 4 now, so that's good news too!
