I'm willing to forgive the first one. I mean, shit happens and people forget things. If the resort was taking a week off it's likely that the people manning both ends were just wanting to get the hell out of there for their time off then anything else and might have skipped some more time consuming steps to get out of there sooner.
As for the other 2, between 3 college students I believe statistically they should have had 7 and a half phones on them at the time (totally made up statistic). And wolves...well it was either that or bears. Even then a single (or a couple) bears don't nearly have the dread of a whole pack of wolves surrounding an idiot with broken legs on a ski slope.
