Please stop nibbling on my leg.
Sep. 28th, 2002 08:25 amI love Saturday mornings. Woke up at 7 (my usual time for getting up), but I got almost 8 hours of sleep (nice nice nice). Sitting at my desk, being nibbled on by my cat (not nice nice nice). She wants love, she wants food, she wants human flesh.
She now has two pills to take twice a day. Double the my-finger-down-her-throat fun!
Yay Saturday morning cartoons! Sometimes I think the best thing about being an adult is being able to eat and do whatever I like. On Thursday I had french toast sticks for dinner. My mother would have had a fit! Now I'm watching cartoons. I love my life sometimes.
I've always liked The Jackie Chan Adventures. Ozzy & Drix is on next (based on that movie about the germs in some guy's body); it's more amusing than I thought it would be. Pokemon after that -- usually crack-worthy, but I watch it because I "should". Mucha Lucha after that. Mucha Lucha. Gods, someone should skin whoever approved that cartoon and then toss them into a vat of salt. A cartoon about Mexican wrestlers? Bah. Yu-Gi-Oh after that, which thanks to Hyper (
peppygrowlithe) I'm sort of getting into. I watch it, but I'll never collect the cards or play it. Then the last cartoon of the morning, X-Men: Evolution.
After cartoons I usually watch many hours of cooking shows, though lately move on to FFX instead. I got the sisters! Woo woo, they're powerful... if seriously funny looking. Two of them seem to attack from their butts a lot. I'm not sure if this amuses me or disturbs me more. I turned the cloudy mirror into the celestral mirror as well, thinking I could use it to get the special weapons. Then I read about how to do that, and it seemed like just too much work. Bah.
I made progress in the Omega Ruins. I'm hoping to finish them today... then on to Sin. I suspect I'm not ready to beat it yet, but I want to try. End of cut. The FFX guidebook suggests trying to battle the last and biggest boss without reading the book. Though this is a scary idea (I'm gonna die! I'm gonna die! I'm gonna die!), I'm going to try it (I'm gonna die!). Then if I fail (I'm gonna die!) I can go back and read it and try it again. It's an exciting and wild idea! If nothing else, we can see what I've learned about battling so far (I'm gonna die!)...
Gale (
firebyrd) drew a picture of Auron for me! http://www.aros.net/~firebyrd/auron.jpg It's keen! She drew him exactly dead-on, which reflects what I've always thought when I see him without that neck-thing all the way up: He really looks more Hispanic than Asian. I think it's that thin and scraggly beard/mustache.
