From the movie. The book is on my list to read, but I still haven't yet. I should fix that soon.
The dragons in this book talk a little (it's more complicated than that), but when they do, it's really simple -- there would be no place for snark. More like Fish! if they're hungry, or Hunt now?. While the book hasn't covered it yet, I don't believe they speak in a more simple way because they're "dumb animals," I think it's more like they're just really foreign to us.
