thistlechaserWhat better thing to do on a Friday night besides your taxes? It was pretty darned painless this year. I used some program (whatever it was I used last year), so I didn't even need to retype much at all.
Getting back:
Federal: $645
State: $26 (This is odd, since for as many years as I can remember, I've always had to pay $30 on the nose.)
I really can't get excited about the refund, since that's all it really is -- I'm getting back a tiny, tiny bit of the amount they took from me all year. It is better than owing more though...
It took me 52 minutes to do, from starting the program and downloading updates to it (10-15 minutes) to finishing it. 52 minutes isn't a totally fair number though, as I had to stop in the middle to handle a MUSH issue. Also, in 24-48 hours, I need to go back and make sure the electronic whatever was accepted. Still, all in all, I'm pretty darned satisfied.
