Mid-Vacation Post

thistlechaserSince I have a few minutes free, here's a rundown of some of the adventures thus far:
- Drove for an hour or so along a twisty mountain road in search of the ocean (twice, found it once, didn't find it the second time).
- Went shopping at Target for the first time (I know, I know). Bought a crock pot and a hundred or so dollars of other random household stuff that my mother thought I needed. (We're going back tomorrow for more.)

peppygrowlithe, but I hated it. It had plotholes big enough to drive trucks through. I liked some of the Hawaiian music, but not the Elvis music. I thought the story was corny and cliched as hell.
- Watched the first Harry Potter movie together. Mmm mmm good. She liked it, too.
- Went to a handmade goods store (that Cranberry Hill one, for folks in this area). Bought a HP quilt! Love it, hanging it up on the wall. Will post pictures soon.
- Went shopping for a treadmill. Was unwilling to pay ~$2000 for one.
- Went to lunch withmallen. Mother thinks he's intelligent and a good conversationalist. Mother smokes crack. ;)
- Went to Blockbuster to get more movies. Tried to buy the HP game. Was told it wasn't out yet. (Guess you were dreaming you played it,tersa.)
- Bought a ton of plants and an orange tree. (My mother loves to garden, so she plants them all while she's here.) Orange tree is very nice.
Two days left, then she flies out on Wednesday. Tomorrow is Target (and more gardening for her) and likely lots of random shopping or something and a trip to look for gardens to see, and Tuesday is likely a museum.
I have Thursday, Friday, and the weekend off before work. Going to need all that time to catch up on MUSH foo and Animal Crossing (haven't even turned the Gamecube on the whole time she was here).
