Which Cool Evil Guy Are You?

Would you be his friend?
You are Mr. Teatime from Terry Pratchett's
"Hogfather".
You are a sociopathic assassin who would like to
kill every fairytale character, including the
Discworld equivalent of Santa Claus.
Strangely, nobody wants to be your friend.

So, see, there's a reason for sharing this quiz! I've read almost no Pratchett, but it's high on my list of things to change. I read only one short story by ... him? her? and I rather liked it. These Diskworld books seem to be mentioned everywhere, so I'm feeling rather remiss in not having read any.

Once I'm done with the next HP book, I'm going to set aside my GBA and go back to reading before bed.

Oh, and even though I don't know who Mr. Teatime is, the rest of the text in these results made me giggle!

Him.

Terry Pratchett.

I'd recommend /not/ starting at the beginning, with the Discworld series. The four out of the first five are, basically, just a bunch of jokes sewn together by a plot.

_Wyrd Sisters_ is good as a starting point, or perhaps _Guards! Guards!_, depending on if you like parodoes of witches or parodies of police procedurals.

Terry Pratchett's got lots of great stuff out there, and most of it's not too hard to find. Off the top of my head, I recommend Small Gods and Good Omens (that one with Neil Gaiman, no less, woo woo!). As was stated above, my recommendation of the Diskworld books hinges entirely on your tolerance for what are essentially one painful joke after another, strung together on a bit of plot like a thrift store necklace.

Yeah. The first five or so are, in retrospect, rather painful.

He gets /much/ better, though. It's still parodies, but stuff like _Guards! Guards!_, _Men At Arms_, _Small Gods_, _Nightwatch_, and _Lords and Ladies_ are really quite thoughtful, parts of them.
