I hate strong smelling things, so I was as surprised as you when I bought some "acti-scent" (active scent, pine scent) kitty litter. But anyway, I bought it so I used it. I have a giant cat box (made for "multi-cat use"), and I have only one cat, so I don't clean it every day.

Will some chemist reading this explain to me why cat urine, when combined with pine scent, fills my apartment with a strong smell of human body odor? It's disgusting, a whole lot worse than the cat box even when unchanged for a week. Note to self: Never, ever buy pine scented cat litter again. (It's just too bad I have another 25 pound container of it...)

In other news, I don't think I'll ever need to snort cocaine or do speed or anything like that, my body seems to produce it on its own. 4:30 in the morning, two hours until I need to get up. I wake up out of a deep sleep. My eyes snap open, brain coming fully online. TIME TO GET UP! THINGS TO DO! UP UP UP! Glance at the clock. No, brain, it is sleeping time. Not waking time. Settle down. UP UP UP! THINGS TO DO! GET GOING! And so on. Four hours of sleep. Bah.

On a related note, yesterday I realized it's been four or five years since I last drank coffee. (As you can see, I don't need it to wake up.) I sort of miss drinking it, but more in a 'it's nice having a warm mug in hand' way than in missing the taste of it.

Also, it's a crappy work day. On the plus side: I get to leave at 3:30. On the minus side: It's to go to the dentist. Eek, eek, I think I'd rather stay at work. Please don't hurt me, Miss. Dr. Dentist! I'm such a chicken, but last time I was there, the dentist mentioned she wanted to replace the old fillings in one tooth with a cap. Now, I've had this done before, so the mention of it made me go wide-eyed. They start with *drilling out your old fillings*. Let's repeat that: They use the drill and drill out your old fillings. Next they drill out *tooth*. With the drill. Then, once you have a giant hole in your tooth, they put a temp cap on it, and you walk around with that for a couple weeks while the real one is being made. And if that cap comes off? Then hello tooth nerve! Hello pain! Whimper. I'd rather break a bone than get something like that done again.
