Torture! Bittersweet Torture!
Jun. 10th, 2003 08:49 pmA Bittersweet Potion has finally updated! I wouldn't get so antsy for updates if they didn't have this note on the site:
We are posting these stories in sections (usually 3 chapters at a time, depending on length). We also post every week (usually twice a week!), so if you check back frequently, you are sure to find more.
You lie! You lie to hurt us! It was ten days until tonight's update, and more than two weeks for the last one!
But am I fairly calling this torture? Another note from the site:
We are actually much further ahead then what we are posting! For example, the first week of May we posted Bittersweet chapters 21 through 25. But actually, Bittersweet is editted and finished ;-) Procul His (the sequel) is completely finished (but still needs editting) and we are now almost done scripting Purify!
Whimper, whimper! I need to know the ending now! And I want the whole next story the second it's ready! Not in 2-3 chapter bits! Whimper. Meanies, all of them.
:)

In other, yet related, news, I'm pondering redesigning my recs page. Well, "reorganizing" more than "redesigning". Some recs pages are organized, some have stories added in just as they're found.
When I use a recs page, I need only the most minimal organizing -- mostly just some indication of a rating system or adult/non-adult, work safe/not work safe... so that's how I set up my own page. Question is, does that work for other folks? Or is it clunky? I could organize it by main character, I could organize it by type of story... this could get really complex. (Embedded spreadsheets! Java scripts! A search engine so you can hunt for any character, main or minor! Situations! Keywords!)

The woman who runs
wereadshite isn't permitted to go on any more vacations. 20 updates tonight alone, and the majority of them HP rec sites! Either I can listen to the HP books on CD or I can read fics. I can't do both! I need either:
* Not to need to sleep ever again, or:
* More than 24 hours in a day.
Or both? No, don't want to get greedy...
