thistlechaserSo there I was, happily carting home my very extra cheese pizza (the guys at the shop know me and usually put extra extra cheese on my extra cheese pizza). I was hungry, and I love pizza from this place, so all I wanted to do was get in the door, change, and eat.
The first part of that list went fine. I got in the door and succeeded in not tripping over my cat. Put the pizza down in the kitchen, went into the bedroom to change. Pulled off my shirt. Threw shirt on bed. Noticed something odd in the sunshine.
Miss. Kitty threw up *another* hairball. On my bed. On my pillow. GAH.
It must have been sometime earlier today, for the, um, "liquids" soaked way into my pillow, yet the outside of the mess got baked by the sun and was firm/hard. Gross, gross, gross. I thought hairballs on pillows only happened in jokes!
At first I delayed eating in an attempt to clean it, but quickly gave up. The "juices" (ew) had soaked into a lot of the pillow, and so I'm just going to toss it out. But man, there's nothing like the smell of cat puke before eating!
This has been a crazy time for hairballs. I swear she's had more than ten of them in a month, and that's even with me brushing her most days -- and she's a short haired cat! (And it really is hairball, not just puked up food.)
