Odd computer stuff: HPSdpApp.exe
Sep. 28th, 2003 08:25 pmI have a firewall that controls all movement onto and off from my computer. Tonight something called HPSdpApp.exe (HP SDP Application Module) keeps trying to access the net. I did a Google search and got no matches on it. I searched the HP site and my ISP's site for this thing, with no matches at all. I searched my own computer's help files, with no results. If it was a virus, I'd think it'd come up *somewhere*...
With this HPSdpApp.exe request for access comes an IE-like window. It has 'Reminder (time)' at the top, with the current time/date for (time), but fails to connect to a server. Also, there's no way to close that window, even through right-clicking on the task bar.
This feels like a virus, but I've also had odd things related to my ISP like this. Even if it's something HP or ISP related, I'd think there would be something about it on Google...
Oddness.
