The good: Joan of Arcadia. The one new show I like this season. Creative and interesting and intelligent.
The bad: Advertising on the back of the fortune in your fortune cookie. WTF? When did this start? My cookie with tonight's dinner had an ad for a website on its back.
The game: My Final Fantasy Tactics Advance finally came. I so hate Amazon. I need to stop using them. (I've said this before, I know.) Not even with their free shipping, with paid shipping, it took them two months to get the game to me!
The rec: Recced by
laurelwood first, I'm adding mine: Sans Merci. Starting with Snape at age eight, it tells of his life through his school years. It's one of the best Snape stories I've read in a long time, as well as (definitely) the best post-OotP/using-OotP-details story I've ever read.
Rocking characterization on Lucius, Voldemort, and the Marauders, but the only (minor) issue I had with it was its take on Dumbledore. (However, I think my vision of Dumbledore is being clouded by a lot of this sex-fiend silliness that has been popping up about him of late.) Very worth reading; I said to Frothy_Bugbear that I would be willing to stay late at work to keep reading it. Anyone who knows how much I hate my job should know what kind of a recommendation that is. :)
