Typo of the night
Jun. 27th, 2003 08:51 pmWhile debating with
jakflak if it would be better to kill someone with a goose or a duck, I had a little typo:
I hear geese can be pretty mean, while dicks are mostly only good with orange sauce, so maybe geese are the better plan.
--------
In other news, I'm very thankful for AC. 100+ yesterday, 96 today. Inside: A cool 72-74. I even kept the AC on for my cat during the day. I feel sorry for my friends without it, but not too sorry. :) I did my time with no AC (in ye ol' crackhouse) when everyone else had it, and a couple years back we had a longer heat wave than this. (How's coming home to a 117 degree apartment and your poor cat limp and not moving, even when you try to pick her up?)
--------
In other-other news, there's still fun to be had in the Animal Crossing game, even after nearly eight months of playing it. I put two or three hours into it tonight.
--------
In other-other-other news, I'm intending to start rereading OotP this weekend. When the next book comes out, I want one of you folks to kick me if I try reading it all in one day again. I want to go through this time slowly, unhurried, and try to enjoy it.
--------
There is no other-other-other-other news, other than this weekend I'm going to try to get at least one more Japanese candy review up. That jelly drink scared and scarred me though, and so now I'm leery of trying anything else.

Date: 2003-06-28 09:57 am (UTC)I'm with you on the reread strategy- I'm a big rereader in general anyway, but in this case it was especially necessary. The first reading was just too tense and hurried; probably I'm not the only one who was gritting my teeth, waiting for something to come up that would negatively rock the universe for me. (Makes me even gladder that I'd already read the first four books before even discovering that such a thing as "fandom" existed.) I'm definitely enjoying it more the second time through.
