If anyone tells you a treadmill test is fun, they're lying to you!

That a treadmill test is also called a 'stress test' should be the first clue that it won't be fun, but here I was thinking 'I walk lots! I'll be able to do this! Nooooooo problem at all!'. Heh. Stupid me.

First off, you have to do this in no shirt or bra. Eek! (Bounce, bounce, bounce. "Is that an earthquake?!" Ow, no! It's me!) But on the plus side, the treadmill was at such a steep angle and moving so fast, I quickly forgot that two strange men and a skinny women were seeing me nearly naked! (Those paper "gowns" do NOT count for much...)

Bah.

But not only it over with, I was told my heart is "very normal" or "above normal". (There was one "early beat" I think they called it, but the doctor said most people had a few of those, and since I only had one that was better than average.)

So yay not falling over dead! (Hopefully!)

In more important news: I stopped by home on the way back to work from the test. Still no package! At 1 PM! And it's supposed to be there by 3! Eek! Hurry up, Mr. FedEx man! And you better leave it at the door, don't just leave a 'sorry we missed you!' slip!

FedEx's site reports my package is currently sitting on my doorstep! Assuming no one walks away with it (hopefully not! I have a fence around my little area), I should be online tonight!

For loneguardian: Even though I'm going to be human, I'm going to start out in San d'Oria. Even though I won't get that starter-ring thing, I know lots of people there so it should be a good trade-off. (Eee!) I figured you're high enough level that you're probably not anywhere near the starting point anyway, so maybe we'll eventually meet up somewhere else and say hi? :)

Man, I can't wait! Hee! I'm still trying to think of names though! Since I'm told shorter is better, I'd go for Thistle, but I bet that's been taken already. Thiee, Thisell, ThisOrThat... Eee!

Just an hour till I can leave work! I bet I'll be online within two hours! (I know/think/heard patches will need to be downloaded, donno how long that'll take.)

After four and a half hours of waiting, I finally got online and started making a character. I got stuck at the worldpass window. I typed it seven or eight times, but it's coming up as invalid. kirbyk, can you check if this is really right? 3874075937

If anyone else reads this and has one I can use, I'll pay you back the gil when I get enough. (No idea how long that would take, sorry.) I'd like to get online tonight if possible. Edit: Kirby's working on it, no need for anyone else to buy one. Thanks anyway!

Edit: Well, now I went and messed EVERYTHING up. Someone on one of the FFXI LJ groups talked about making new characters and starting over to try to get onto the server they wanted. I actually got the name Thistle! ...but I ended up on Quetzelacoatl server... And as far as I could tell, there was no way to stop things once you picked a name.

So if I delete the character and try again, will the name become free once more? Or will it be held in case I ever want to un-delete it? Bah. Suppose I could try and find out. ... deleted!
