Heeheehee, RPing!
Jan. 5th, 2005 04:50 pmI've not posted in a while (since Sunday?), so I figured I should toss something up. However most of you are out of luck, since this will only make sense to a small few. Sorry!
I'm muchly amused: My character on Denver MUSH is named Jack, and one of the other characters calls him "Lost Jack". Of course this makes me think of Jack from Lost, but luckily my Jack is at least somewhat more interesting (if no more lively).
The more I experience it, the more I like not knowing OOCly what the other characters ICly are (they could be a variety of supernatural thingies or just plain human). Today I wonder if I made the person I was RPing with think I was something I wasn't? Jack was ... not exactly "acting odd", but it was strange. I don't know, maybe it just seemed strange to non-social me, but he picked up on social stuff better than me and reacted better than I would have (which seems very odd, since I don't feel like I would know how to do such things, but he did!). Oh, that probably doesn't make sense to anyone, does it? The character I was RPing with got skittish about something, and Jack's reaction seemed almost animalistic (he stopped looking at her directly, let her stare at him till she satisfied herself -- lots of little eye/expression things). Hm, I hope it came off as "very clueful about (human) social things" and not anything off-character.
Oh well! While work was busy so a big scene was hard to handle (especially when we had two people who posed a half-line at best, ugh!) it was still fun! I've RPed with this person (Aine) before, and she's really great. :)
