Yay Humpday!

Woo, Wednesday! C'mon, weekend! Hurry up and get here!

Surprisingly, I slept last night! After Monday night, I was sure I was headed into a sleepless period, but last night I slept! Woke up two or three times (once after an odd nightmare), but that's pretty normal.

Woke up starving and really, really, really wanted to get an egg sandwich before work, but last week I didn't lose any weight so I resisted the urge and had a yogurt instead. Well, it's a yogurt-smoothie-drink thingie. Very yummy, but about 300 calories (usually I have oatmeal, which is about 100). But still, egg sandwiches must have 89r48525725871 calories, so I was still ahead of the game.

Still hungry though. *drinks lots of water*

FFXI: Even though I'm in the middle of it, the moat carp situation is almost funny. This morning I had the very good luck to snag eight stacks of carp at 4K each... then a second later someone came by the AH and bought the rest at 6K/stack. *boggle* 6K/stack is insanity, but it's becoming the usual price now. (This was in Windy, too. I don't even check the Sandy AH for carp anymore.) I was almost, almost tempted to relist my stacks at 6K, but not really. I turned them in, and I'm now up to 9303. So close, yet so far!

Yesterday was stressy, and I didn't really get much done. Eco went well (as usual), and I got 811 XP for my thief. (If we're going to keep meeting and partying with our subjobs, I suppose I have to stop using Eco XP on it...)

I farmed just a little before and after Eco (ran from and to Windy on foot so I could). Love my crossbow. Love it lots. When people are racing for a crawler, I just whip it out and one-shot the thing before anyone can cast on it or hit it. Love one-shotting things with it. Sexy, sexy Ead-signed crossbow. :)

The rest of the night I fished (got only two stacks, but hey, that's like an 8K savings!), and worked on my mule's fame (trying to get them all through the mog house expansions).

I'm not sure how much time I'll have tonight. I'm going to take a late lunch and try to get the patch/upgrade downloaded then, but I suspect a half-hour won't be enough to get through the clogged network and get it finished.

Hey, I should hit the POL site. I bet there's more info posted about the new goodies...

With some exceptions, fish obtainable through fishing will now be bought at half the previous price by NPCs.

Ha ha ha. And SE continues its trend of screwing the fishers in each update. (Edit: I wonder how much of this will hurt real fishers and how much will hurt bots?)

Gah. It's going to take a lot longer to fish now (though may be more fun/more challenging). Multitasking while fishing will be harder. ;;

Wow, fishing instinct looks like it could be interesting...

The amount of time that a character must wait between fishing attempts will no longer
change depending on fishing skill. The previous waiting time will now be spent struggling
with your catch. -

GAH! Sucky! A shorter wait time was part of the good part of skilling up! (Edit: Maybe they'll make the "tiring of the fish" shorter if your skill is higher? Don't know...)

The influence of moon phases on the abundance of fish has been increased.

Hmmm. (Edit: I really worry about this one, since people who work jobs in RL can't catch good moons as often as people who don't. Bah!)

During the act of fishing, the surrounding characters will become semi-transparent.
