Bone-weary
Mar. 16th, 2005 10:03 amI've realized that this, the second week of Hell Week at work, is coloring the rest of my time. Hopefully next week things will be different, but for now I just feel crushed by the weight of everything. (Oh, doesn't that sound so melodramatic?)
Though I wanted to do anything but move more than I had to, I actually got out walking this morning. (Yesterday I did weights instead of walking -- weights are harder, but since they take less time and I can do them inside, I'd always rather do them over walking.) If nothing else, this should be a good week for weight loss -- I'm losing about a pound every two days! Been a long, long while since I lost weight that fast. (And again, that sounds more dramatic than it is. Four days = two pounds lost, not anything major.)
At this very moment in time (though I'm sure it'll likely change in the near future), FFXI feels like nothing but additional work to me -- zero enjoyment, just things I have to do, money I'll need to make or else, etc. Luckily tonight, tomorrow night, and Friday night I have nothing I have to do (other than the ever-pressure of trying to make money), so hopefully I'll be able to relax some and do something fun.
I'm waiting to hear from Nif if there's a slot open for me on Saturday for the 2-5 CoP mission. In hopes that there is space for me, last night I traveled to the Meadow and the Safehold to finish Monday's quest and to do mission 2-4. Luckily 2-4 was one of thos missions where all you have to do is run hither and yonder to talk to NPCs and watch cutscenes. GAH GAH GAH, such wonderful storylines! The sort of cutscenes which tell you so much, yet leave you wanting much much more. :) I wish all missions were like that, but 2-5 is going to be one serious bitchkitty. It almost looks impossible... (At least I'm near the front end of our static, so if I die one or more times I won't fall behind.)
Oh well, back to work...
