Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
May. 4th, 2005 08:09 amSo tired. So stupid and so tired. I was sleepy and ready to fall asleep at the usual time last night, then I let myself start thinking about stuff that's going to be happening today and got all hyper... which of course did not lead to falling asleep. While two nights of five hours sleep a night is far from the least sleep I've ever gotten, it's not nearly enough to keep me from feeling like crap.
zzzzz
I wasn't just tired this morning, I was feeling like I was still a little sick, so I whined and moaned and tried to get out of walking, but I didn't let myself succeed at that. I missed Monday since I was home sick, and my weight loss has slowed so much, so I made myself go. It was neither fun nor easy, but at least I finished.
Really, really annoyed with that "slow weight loss" thing. I eat ZERO candy/chocolate/cake/sweets. None. Nothing sweet. No cookies, no candy, nothing. I eat no fast food ever. (Well, a grill cheese sandwich at In'n'Out maybe once every month or two, but no fries so that's not too bad.) I don't eat fried stuff at all. So why am I losing only one or two pounds most months? One or two pounds a week would be fine and dandy, but a pound a month? Or staying the same for a month when I'm eating right and exercising? Very, very annoying.

FFXI: So the thing that kept me awake last night. My AF3! :D
Non-players: AF armor is your job's special armor. It makes you look like the "classic" look for your job (summoners get those horns on their head, red mages look like pimps dipped in a can of red paint, dragoons are purple, etc). In FFXI, you have to quest each piece of it (5 pieces plus a weapon), and some quests are much harder than others. The AF3 piece (head piece) is the hardest of them all.
So what our LS usually does is wait till a bunch of people need their AF3s done, then do like 10 or 12 of them in a single day. It's a long and usually stressful event, but with great results. Ebin (the only other dark knight on our LS and about 10 levels higher than me) missed the last AF3 run and is due for his AF head, so they're making a special trip for him. And I get to go along! :D
I'm really really nervous and quite excited. :) I won't be happy just to have the head piece (assuming we succeed), but I'll be just as happy because we're getting it done. I won't need to take the time of a bunch of people later. (I feel so guilty when I have to take peoples' time to do things just for me!)
I'm pretty much expecting that I'll die tonight (I'm about 10 levels too low for this quest), I just hope that others don't die as well. And I really, really hope that no one dies because I do something stupid on the way up! I'm going to bring two stacks of oil and powder with me. (I'm guessing I'll need both. I haven't read up on Delkfutt's Tower yet. I've only been higher than the first floor once, I think.)
Eek, eek! So excited and so nervous! Hope it goes well! :)
