RNG, RNG, RNG, seems like Ranger is the only thing my FFXI life is about anymore. That's not totally a good thing (my mules have had nothing to sell for days -- no cash is flowing in!). This morning I tried to solo it to 15 in time for the party, but had to do laundry so stopped at 14.5-ish. No worries! The mostly LS party in Kor-whatever Tunnel was an amazing success (much love to Ai for suggesting it!). We got 4 levels in less than three hours. So ding RNG 18!

Tomorrow we're going to try to get together and party again. Chip, Niala, Aurian, and Ceh, I left you messages on-game which you'll probably see before this. Draque and Ai already know. Yes, that does give us seven people. :/ We'll deal with numbers once I know who can make it at all.

Aurian and I looked good together! (Ha ha, no it's not that picture, A!) While elf RNGs have a cooler stance (they hold their bows sideways), humes don't look shabby at all!

I saw a new NM to add to my collection~! Morion Worm! (I hope he's not a fake NM like Stomper Chomper is!) It's cool that he's a different color than normal worms -- NMs should look different!

After the party I was mostly brain dead, so I did RL work and just sort of peered at the game now and then. When evening came I did a few quests here and there, then decided to do something bigger! Burn some seals! (Non-players: Mobs sometimes drop beastman seals. You use those to buy objects which let you in to special fights -- BCNM (burning circle, named monster) fights. BCNM fights tend to be highly deadly, but can have some big-money rewards.)

I had 300 seals, so I decided to do BCNM 50 - Treasure and Tribulations twice. It's straight forward: You enter the BC and see three chests: Small, Medium, and Large. Two are a mob which will likely eat you for diner, one is a real chest full of okay, good, or outstanding stuff.

On my first try I picked the right one! Yay!

Not only did I pick the right one, I got lucky! I got the DRK ring! Okay, so it's totally useless (level 50, no DEF, Latent Effect: Weapon Bash +10 -- that's it!) and I'd never use it, but still! Yay!

On the second try my luck didn't hold. How embarrassing. Killed not just by a box, but by a small box...

But I really expected to die twice, so even one win was great!

Sleepy, sleepy now.
