Blame Credit for this link goes to [livejournal.com profile] kalin_nestar: [livejournal.com profile] fantasygoat matches its name -- odd and somehow disturbing. It's an image-only journal full of...

Funny images:
Sometimes,
but not always PC...

Really odd images:
Heh heh... heh?
They'd all be improved this way...

And 'Oh my god, my brain!' images:
Work safe? Disturbing, but no naked parts shown.

And lastly: *snickersnerk*

Edit: Ha ha, what? Um? So many old posts to look through! But now and then there are naked bits, so be careful if you're at work and care about such things. Eee, so cute!

FFXI people: Folks keep mentioning going AFK overnight to get XP during Besiegeds, but it doesn't work. I've tested it twice: The first time I got zero XP/IS, but the Candysense was lost so I wasn't sure if that was a good test. Last night I tried again, and the Candysense was not lost, but I still got zero. So don't bother, leave the slot in the zone for people who will actually be active and fight. :) (I figured it wouldn't work, since you get reward for "doing your job", but people kept saying they should/they were going to...)

Edit: Holy cow! From today's update:

Along with the new chocobo raising system, in the upcoming version update we will be introducing the ability to call chocobos. This feature will allow players to call up and ride the chocobo they have lovingly raised.

No longer will adventurers have to rely on rental chocobos for traveling around Vana'diel! Players will be able to call their very own chocobos anywhere, at anytime.
Impress your friends with your personal chocobo mount!

...So we'll be able to call chocobos in the middle of wild zones? Like after a party finishes? No Fricking Way! That would be too useful!

Calling your chocobo will involve an enchant item, similar to the signal pearl or empress band. With the appropriate item equipped, you will be able to call your trusty mount at any time, in any area where chocobo riding is permitted.
We are planning on setting the enchant recast to a time period that won't adversely affect in-game balance. Rather than making it possible to recall your chocobo immediately after dismounting, it will be necessary to wait for a certain amount of time.

Been weeks since we had three level 5 Besieged waves hit in a row, but tonight that happened! Woo!

Each wave lasted about a half-hour, plus we had at least an hour wait before it all started, so it was a long night.

We started one general down, but even with three waves didn't lose one of the remaining ones! Yay us!

Unfortunately POL did the "ha ha, let's DC half the people in the zone!" thing not once, but twice. The first time was at the very beginning of the Undead wave so had little effect (other than annoying folks), but the second one (in the last wave) really hurt us and almost no one got 700 XP/IS. I ended up with 700, 700, 615 (and 615 was pretty good, compared to some people).

For some reason scythe still isn't capped, even though it's three? four? levels higher than GS. GA is an A- weapon and scythe is A+, but I swear the cap numbers had been the same up until now... I must have missed that they were different. Tomorrow I need to look up what an A+ weapon caps at at 75, because I'm getting tired of watching for it to turn blue. Oh, or I can do it now. 276. Grrr, still a long way off then! At 272 now. GS is capped at 269. SO tired of using the scythe! Want to go back to my GS before I cap DRK XP and switch to another job.

I do enjoy Besieged, but three waves each 30+ minutes long is tiring. zzzz Bed now!

Oh, one last thing: Remember how I keep saying that I feel like BRD is silly? There's one big, honking exception to that: I want to kiss a BRD every time they use mage's ballad on me! I almost told Val that tonight, but I worried it might scare him into not casting it onto me. :P
