Mellow weekend
Sep. 18th, 2011 07:47 pmI'm not sure if it's a comment on my mood this weekend or the movie itself, but I was finally able to sit through another movie without multitasking. The new Planet of the Apes movie. Sure it had some mighty big plot holes, but for some reason it held my attention. I'm not sure if we were supposed to be rooting for the apes at the end of the movie, but I found I felt for both. Sure some of the humans were awful to the apes, but all the cops at the end? Just doing their jobs.
This morning I made a batch of spaghetti sauce, which was nice. It's so easy (and cheap!) to do. Brown some garlic in olive oil, put in a can of tomato paste and crushed tomatoes, some spices, let cook for a couple hours. Half my reason for going to the farmer's market yesterday was to get fresh bread to eat with it. Slice of bread, butter it, then put a really thick layer of sauce on it. Mmm. (Maybe I'll have that for dinner tonight, too!)
In WoW, Clover hit 78 today. He needs four more rares to Professor (and has one in progress now). I'm seriously dragging my feet on the Argent Tournament rep plan for him. I just cannot bring myself to do more dailies. I want to have to do fewer of them, not more! I'm strongly hoping that maybe the Headless Horseman mount will drop over Halloween for him, then I could just use that.
And on the red side of WoW, I got a little RP on Thistle. There's a guild who has the worst RPers ever in it, but one good RPer (I have no idea why she sticks with them). She's been coming to talk to Thistle whenever he's at the Row mailbox. I told her about the IC Twitter project, so hopefully she'll join in on that.
