Howdy, folks! Boy, isn't it nice to sleep in a little on a work day? Slept until 8 instead of the work-usual 6:30. Feeling fiiiiine! Muchly looking forward to the movie, and feeling only slightly guilty/worried about not being at work. (I keep telling myself that taking one sick day or so a year is *not* bad and will *not* get me fired... hopefully that will really be true.)

Thanks to the people who suggested how to fix the style issue last night. It worked! ...but now I'm thinking my old style is pretty ugly... maybe I'll lose the picture and switch to the new style. I know I complained about the comment page being cluttered with main page style foo, but that sort of grew on me fast (at least in the simple style I accidently have, with no clutter or extra crap).

Oh, happy birthday, Harry Potter! And to HP folks, thanks to tersa I found hpana2. A news feed for HP news stuff. It's like leaky__cauldron on steroids.

Back when I first got into LJ, I used to visit mallen's LJ friends page because it updated so much faster than mine (he had more friends than me). For so long I wanted to find more interesting people to read about, enough people to update enough to keep me entertained during the day. I think I've finally hit that point! I have 97 friends (and I'm a friend of 70 folks). It takes me a full hour in the morning just for overnight LJ stuff (replying to comments and reading friends posts). During the day, I get lots of stuff to read. I love you all! :)

I feel all smug finding hpana2 before you did. I know, I am small and petty.

I found the actual website looking for the Newsweek article on Tuesday; I figured you already knew about it, so didn't mention it!

So, now I'm glad I gave into my geeky tendencies and listed all my syndicate feeds, because it was useful to at least one person.

(And, I vote for not going to the new style. I really dislike the comments page format.)

And I switched to the new style this morning, then switched back to the old. The comments page bothered me, but my friends page bothered me more. Only yesterday I finally color-coded all my friends (took more than an hour!) and the new style system pretty much ignores that. I'll just redesign in the old style system sometime soon...
