Boy, it's been a piratey night! I changed the style of my main LJ page (arrr!). On my screen it looks like there's too much empty black space, but my monitor/window is super-giant; people with smaller ones (read: More normal sizes) say it looks okay, so I guess I'll leave it as-is for now.

The great and wonderful Delee (triplem), the person who did the original yellow cats, was kind enough to pirate-ify one for me! It's going to be my new default one, at least for a while. The full sized picture is here. Isn't it keen?

Enough fooling around with LJ for one night! I see why they needed the new style system; I spent more than three hours trying to get this one right.

Edited to add: I love today's man in hunkoftheday. I'd be willing to move to the UK for him! Mmmmm.

It's not that you're stupid, it's that the system makes zero sense and is hard as hell to interact with. It took me about six hours to figure out enough to make my first style; I just had to change things and fiddle with things and see what affect they had on the journal.

That "style 2" thing, while having some annoying side effects, is at least seriously easy to use.
