In somewhat less disturbing news, "Thistle fall down, go boom!". I've not fallen in, well, years and years. Probably since I lived in NY and had to deal with snow/ice. It was quite embarrassing (even though no one saw, thankfully), but darned it, I hope I didn't seriously hurt my ankle. I can walk on it without much pain, but sitting still makes it hurt (which seems strange). I'm at work so I can't put it up or ice it or anything, but it's throbbing and hurts. :/ (When I was younger I sprained each ankle multiple times. The tendons (or some part in there, I forget now) are now all stretched out. They used to give out a lot, but that hasn't happened in years.)
It was really rather surprising to fall. I was standing up, then next thing I knew I was on the ground with my breath knocked out of me. (The ground had been uneven and somehow when I put my foot down the ankle just let go and I kind of crumpled down.) I bet my expression would have been amusing, if anyone had been there to see; I was rather shocked and surprised to find myself suddenly on the ground.
I can't wait to get home and put ice on it. Eh, assuming I have any ice. Hm, might have to stop and get some...
