Another FFXI day

thistlechaserI'm annoyed that on my last day of vacation FFXI will have at least 10 hours of downtime, but at least I'm getting lots of stuff done in the days before that.
Saturday is NIN day, so Ead and I (together with SAM Aurian and SAM Draque) went out into the wild Jungles and NINed our little hearts out. Seven hours, four levels gotten. Some of the best XP/hr that I've ever seen (even with an hour break in the middle). NIN 28 to NIN 32 (halfway to 33). The job is awfully fun, but it's easily the most tiring job to level. Of the other jobs I've leveled, only RDM comes close to how tiring it is, but even RDM isn't in the same ballpark. But still, I like the job a whole lot. I wish I had more tools (ha ha) for keeping hate, but I suppose that'll get better with time. I certainly can't do it with damage and voking alone, not unless I get lucky and have a lot of bullets land. (My normal hits do 0-20, tending towards single digits, but a bullet can land for nearly 100!)
After that some guy who had been poking me all day to do a synth for him finally caught up with me. I have no clue who he was, but hey, I'll synth for nearly anyone. Turns out he wanted a goblin hat!
It's only the second time anyone has asked me to make one. Usually goblin hats look funny on humes, but I think it looks pretty good on him.
After that I spent the rest of the evening making NIN tools to replace all the ones I've been using. I had to fish for frogs (GAH UGH HATE HATE HATE this new darned fishing system!), and then just crafted away.
Boo!
