Inreresting correction on riots

I try not to rant in my LJ, though sometimes I get angry enough that I do. Anytime I'm wrong, but especially in ranty posts, I like to correct myself. Today, some interesting facts about last night's Oakland riots came out. 78 people were arrested. Of them:
19 Oakland residents
28 other Bay Area residents (Very large area, includes three big cities (San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland.)
19 other California residents
12 out-of-state residents
(60 were men.)
Yeah, there were a lot more than 78 people there, but if those numbers were representative of the whole... (I suspect they might not be. The people who were arrested were likely the most aggressive towards the police. Still!)
What in the heck were the out-of-state'ers doing there?
Interesting stuff. Good to see that it wasn't totally the residents of the city trying to destroy the place they themselves live.
