Yeesh, good thing you checked Yelp -- bringing home bedbugs is definitely one thing that would make this whole experience infinitely worse!
I'm glad the AirBnB suggestion worked out! (hopefully you will never have such a need in the future, but some AirBnBs have a feature where you can book them without host approval. I forget what it's called, but there you don't have to wait if it's a short notice thing.)
