Been a darned slow day on my flist. How do you people expect me to get through my 10 hour work day if you all don't post and keep me entertained?

I'm wearing my FA Draco shirt today. I was intending never to wear it to work, but I have no t-shirts left and on Fridays we can wear them, so I gave in. I was expecting to have to dance around the whole slash idea over and over all day, but no one has even given me a second look. Hrump! It's Draco! On my chest! He's sexy! Look, silly cow-orkers!

I was planning on going shoe shopping at lunch today (blech), but I was feeling like crap so I didn't. I wanted to just go home and die for 45 minutes, but I had to go buy some stuff related to that crappy-feeling, so I went to the pharmacy instead. Since I had to half re-pierce my ears last night, while I was there I got el cheapo earrings to stick in the holes till they heal. I enjoy pulling on them and trying to stretch/open the hole. Does that make me strange?

I should find some fic to read, or work something up for HP100. HPsquick100 scares me this week, so I don't think I'll be writing for that. (Though as I'm typing this, half-ideas are tingling in my head. Hmmmm.)

No, I love re-piercing my ears. The holes tend to weirdly heal up on the inside, and I wind up pushing on it and thinking "surely this isn't going to hurt, what is that skin doing there?" and then it always bleeds like a sunovabitch and I spend the rest of the day surreptitiously tugging on them. It's probably only a weird combination of luck and social pressure that I've never gotten into anything weirder.

*stares at your chest until you feel better (or creeped out, whichever happens first)*

I hate el cheapo earrings for that, actually. They're more prone to cause infections/bad healing.

In fact, I want to invest in some Nk gold starter studs because they don't react and turn the skin around your ear green, and I just need to be able to wear a pair all the time so the hole doesn't close up. About the only time I wear earrings is either when I'm really dressing up, or to Sharks games. Yes, I'm a big egg. :)

Oh, how sucky! These claimed to be hypo-alergetic and all that. Well, let's hope for non-green ears.

I'm the same way, I only wear them when I'm dressing up. I like earrings though (so long as they don't get caught on things), I really should find a pair I can wear on a regular basis and keep them in.

I almost bought a pair of golden hoop ones so I could wear one from the pair and say 'arrrr!' a lot. Luckily I resisted. :)

*laughs* Well, I'll permit you, and only you, to stare a while. But no touching! :)

Yeah, I can almost understand the "something weirder". There's something cool about getting holes in your body (eh, controlled holes! Not like gunshot wounds. :P ) and then increasing them in size.

Now you're pushing it! Next thing I know, you'll be asking if you can wear a clown nose!

It's so weird how people's ears all respond differently to ear-piercing. Some people's really resist the piercing and try to grow back almost overnight. I'm at the other end of the spectrum; my ear holes are still perfectly serviceable, and haven't had anything in them since college (when I finally shook off the denial about that metal allergy and gave up on jewelry.)

I'm glad [livejournal.com profile] wikdsushi had a good long stare at your chest; it's a bummer to get kind of worked up about a potentially controversial piece of apparel and then not have the cow orkers notice. (No one at the library ever glances with interest at my Snape-as-Death Eater bookbag, either, much to my disappointment.)

Makes sense that people respond differently to piercings (and I wonder if that's representative of anything else? Like if holes try to heal over quickly, the body is more resistant to other things (like germs and transplanted organs), too?). Mine aren't too bad, I can go a year or two before they get really bad/closed up.

I'm glad wikdsushi had a good long stare at your chest

Now there's a keeper of a line. :)

cow-orkers heehee. Am much too easily amused. You have a Draco shirt? I could have sworn you didn't like Draco - didn't you make a Draco-Is-Boring type post awhile back? Or was it someone else, I have no long term memory so that is entirely possible. Also, I believe the world would be a better place if we all collectively stared at more chests :D

Nope, I don't think Draco is boring. I know I made a someone-is-boring post, but... hm. Wonder who it was? Or was it Draco? I better check! Hm, the only one I could find was "canon Voldemort is boring but fanon isn't", but I think I did some other post about a boring character... Oh well! I don't think Draco is the most complex character around, but he has a purpose. And, in the case of my shirt, he's fine to look at. Mmmm. And for shirts, that's what counts! :)

Also, I believe the world would be a better place if we all collectively stared at more chests :D

*giggle!* I'll second that!
