Heat, all kinds of heat!

1) Temperature-heat: At 5 PM it was still 90 outside, so I gave and turned the AC on. It was very nice, I should have done it sooner. Now, at nearly 7, it's 83 out. I'll open the windows soon. (I bet you're hanging on the edges of your seats, waiting for minute-to-minute updates on my temps! Hee.)
2) Fire-heat: I watched Reign of Fire again today. I saw it in the theater, but that was long enough ago for me to have forgotten most of the "plot". Or maybe forgetting was a defensive move...
Gods above, did the plot suck. There were more holes than plot itself. The "entire dragon species has only one male so if we kill him we'll kill off the whole species!" idea made me want to bang my head against my desk and scream "No no no no!". And I half-think that the goal of the makers of this movie was to make the rest of the world hate America even more. Gods, could they have made the Americans look any worse? But... the dragons were cool and it was worth watching it for them and the other special effects. I might even watch it again sometime.

I've also been known online as Calico, CalicoMoon, SnowWolf (creative, I know. I was young!), Ta'Kana, Tajara, and many, many other names. My online names are a lot more interesting than my RL one.
2. What color of pants are you wearing right now? Shorts. Black.
3. What are you listening to right now? While filling this out: Nothing, TV is on mute. Something on the Food Network though.
4. What are the last 4 digits of your phone number? No, sorry.
5. What was the last thing you ate? Some homemade "pizza" (sauce and cheese melted on bread) for lunch.
6. If you were a crayon, what color would you be? If I were a crayon, I'd get to pick my own color? How about 'Oh my god! Don't turn me into a crayon! Please!'? Or purple.
7. Where do you plan to go, or went on your honeymoon? I have no plans to become un-single anytime soon.
8. How is the weather right now? Hot as heck and dark. An odd combo.
9. Last person you talked to on the phone? My mother, on her cell phone from a trip up to Maine.
10. What's the first thing you notice about the opposite sex? Height, I guess.
11. Do you like the person that sent you this? Sure!webbapettigrew is a fun and interesting woman. I had thought she was older than me though, and then I found out she was younger.
12. How are you today? Hot. Hungry, too.
13. Your favorite drink? Diet Coke.
14. Your favorite alcoholic drink? None.
15. How do you eat an Oreo cookie? If I'm bored, I'll twist them apart, otherwise just bite into them. I don't eat them often though, not since someone told me that the white filling is just sugar and lard. I don't know if that's true or not, but it's an icky enough idea that it keeps me away from them.
16. What is your favorite sport? I don't play any, but I *love* watching soccer. Men who play soccer are sexier than any other sport.
17. What's the next CD that you are going to get? I'm not a music person and have no plans to buy a CD of any kind.
18. What is your hair color? Eh. Closer to brown than blonde now, I suppose. It's been getting darker all my life, year by year.
19. What are the color of your eyes? Light blue.
20. Do you wear contacts? Every day, nearly every waking hour.
21. Do you have any siblings? One younger sister.
22. What is your favorite month? Any winter month other than December (birthday and Christmas are in December, two things I'd rather avoid).
23. What is your favorite food? Popcorn, cookies, pizza, chocolate, Diet Coke... I can't pick just one.
24. Last movie you watched? Reign of Fire, just today.
25. What is your favorite day of the year? Eh. Any weekend day? Any day I don't have to work pretty much could be it.
26. Are you too shy to ask someone out? I don't think so, not if I found someone I liked...
27. Do you like scary or happy movies better? Out of those two choices? Happy, I suppose.
28. Do you like summer or winter better? Winter.
29. Do you like hugs or kisses better? Neither. Hands (and lips) off, please.
30. Do you like relationships or one night stands better? They each have their pluses and minuses.
31. Do you like chocolate or vanilla ice cream better? Vanilla.

33. Have you ever had your heart broken? Yeah.
34. Are you Romantic? Um. I suppose.
35. What is your shoe size? Uh? Um. 8.5-9, I think. Been years since I last bought shoes. I could be way off.
36. What is the last gift you received? My mother sent me many cans of almonds. I have to try them before she arrives.
37. What is your favorite number? When I was a kid, I liked 3 and 9. Now I don't really have one.
38. Do you want your friends to write back? If they feel like it. I always like finding out more about my friends, even if it's through rather "typical" questions like this.
39. Who is the least likely to respond? Looking at my flist, I can say about a quarter of the people on it don't ever take quizzes or fill out these question list things. Heck, I used to be one of them!
