Lipid
You are a lipid. You know whom you like and whom
you hate, and you like hanging out with people
who think like you do. People who disagree with
you annoy you to no end. You either love
Abercrombie and Fitch or you despise it, but
there's no middle ground. You're polar.

And to reply to that: Abercrombie and Fitch? Despise it, at least now that I'm reading it correctly. My first thought was 'Filch? Eee! Yay!'.

But really, I'd rather not be a lipid. Must come from writing too much Umbridge. (Lipids are fatty things, right?)

And eee! Another new icon! Finally one that's not a cute anime guy.

5:52 is too early in the morning to be laughing this hard. Abercrombie and Filch's new fall line, featuring greasy leather... and chains!

I'd laugh at your reply, but then I noticed your icon and started drooling. Mmmm! (And as 5:52 is too early for laughing hard, 7:02 is way too early to be drooling over candy!)

:)

Lipids *are* fat.

But they're also the building blocks for stuff like soap.

Man, I wish people did their research before doing stuff like this. Lipids are non-polar, though they can have polar heads in stuff like soap and stuff. But that's why oil floats on water, because the water is polar and the oil is non-polar, so they can't mix.

Okay, now we can never see each other ever again! Waaah! I don't want to end up as one of those fancy soaps you make!

:)

Heh!

Yeah, firebyrd is right. Lipids are nonpolar: it's actually a very significant fact, since phospholipids make up the plasma membrane, and their hydrophobic qualities are very important.

But anyway, wow, I like your icon! Who is it? What is it? Is it you before you became an evil Kat?

*snicker* I was worried you might not like the icon, golden cat and all!

And I don't care if it's polar or non, I don't want to be one!

Lipids are fatty things, yes. In the phospholipids, the head is hydrophilic. It likes the water. The tail (wiggly thing) is the hydrophobic end. It does not like water. These make up your cell membranes. The hydrophilic ones are on the outside, with the tails on the inside (Everyone's happy, and voila! Membrane.). Important little thingys. On the whole, fats don't mix too well with water I don't think. ...I'm so proud of myself.
