Very nice pictures- that first one, especially, is postcard quality. Yesterday's weather was very conducive to picture-taking, wasn't it?

I just visited Ikea for the first time ever two weekends ago. It's chaotic and huge and I'm not really much of an interior decor kinda gal, but I went away with a deep respect and love for Swedish design. It's so clever! So functional! So cheerfully colorful! And I loved the way they actually design solutions for small spaces, instead of assuming, as so many American furniture makers do, that we all live in 3000 sq feet houses.

Thanks! The weather turned really nice, yes. We should get a few nice days this week before rain returns.

I just visited Ikea for the first time ever two weekends ago.

This will only be my second visit, but I remember it being like that, yeah. I only need a couple things, but I'm sure I'll walk away with a lot more than that. Hee. :)

Yep! Our ocean is stronger (and colder, I believe) than yours over there. We get some kind of flow down from Alaska, or something. (I'm a real expert on this, you see!)

I've never been to California before...closest I've been is Florida.

Now I'm sort of wishing my parents had gone for oranges and beaches instead of Disneyland..

Wow. I love that last picture.

(I also marvel at how I went to the beach all of ONCE when I was in California for a week. And that was a beach in /Northern/ CA.)

Thanks! And I'm surprised you got to one in Northern CA -- we have the darnest time finding them! I bet they're really nice in Southern CA.
