Artistic attempts

thistlechaserI haven't been in the mood to write lately, so I thought I'd draw a little. I tried for a chibi style (cute to the point of being "deformed"), but they didn't really come out totally on that target. It ended up as more of a cross between plain old cartoon and a little chibi (I should have just gone for "realistic" cartoon, I think).
I took photos instead of scanning. Scanner is hooked up to the old computer, and I didn't feel like booting it up just for one picture. I probably should have though, as the photos came out really dark. It's a pencil drawings on plain white paper:
Larger version. (Inui's smirk is easier to see.)
Larger version with two other head angles/attempts.
This is the rough source picture I used. Don't mind the blue, I just pasted the two images together to check out placements.
There's something wrong with Kaidoh's head or forehead (he's the one in the front), but I can't exactly put my finger on it... My goal is to come up with art along those lines that I can use as an icon. (Let's not even think about coloring these yet. :P )
Oh, and all you people who draw well: I hate you. :)
