thistlechaserKnow those tests they do with rats and drugs? Set up a push bar in the rat's cage, and when they push it they get cocaine out. Push the bar, get the drug -- keep repeating until the rat knows how to get the drug when he wants it. Then you reduce it, make it so that the rat only gets the drug every 100 bar-pushes, but the rat won't give up pushing! Push the bar, push the bar, push the bar over and over until he gets his drug. Well, that pretty much sums up the game as well. Continuous pushing of the space bar to get through countless screens of Japanese text, sometimes having to pick a random choice out of a two or four options written in Japanese, but eventually, after twenty minutes of bar-pushing, you get your drug porn!
The game starts with a picture of Kakashi in bed. Then you hear glass breaking and guess who shows up in his bedroom! Here's your first chance at picking options, one of three choices. I've picked two of them in the three games I've played, and I'm assuming both were wrong because Gai ends up like this. (If "right" means he ends up in bed with Kakashi, then I never want to be right!)
Some stuff happens (if you can read Japanese, you'll know what. I don't.), then you find out that the Hokage is a very dirty old man! Two things about this shot: Kakashi has a bad case of red-eye, but the arrow pointing to his crotch is what amused me most. After you saw text or a picture, that arrow appeared telling you to click to move on. More often than not, it pointed to someone's crotch. (I'm easily amused.)
Eee! I was hoping this would mean I was headed towards an ending with them as a pairing, but alas: no. More text, click click click. Yay! Them as an ending? Nooooope. Tons more clicking, then the image changes to Naruto himself! A number of the characters didn't look perfectly on-character, but Naruto was the second worst of them all. Sasuke looking mighty young.
Heading on towards the ending of my first game, and it contains a kink I'm totally not into. Sasuke is forced to dress as a maid. While I'm not into that, apparently Kakashi is! (And what a cute blush, Sasuke.) This first ending was the most sex I've gotten in all three endings. And the game finally ends with more sex.
On to game #2! It starts out the same, in Kakashi's bedroom with Gai and Lee breaking in. Somehow I got onto a different path, and we ended up in a school setting. The game's version of The Kiss. Eeew! There's a girl on my screen! (Sakura). Click, click, click. I suspect I get stuck in some kind of loop because I had to click for a good 20-30 minutes, but finally I see a new image. Ehhh. Nice, um, tail and ears there, Naruto. (The reduced image doesn't really do the picture justice. His tail looked soooooo fluffy and soft!) Wow, a blowjob from a dog. How, uh, nice...
Unlike game #1, the sex didn't end the game this time. Suddenly there's another girl on the scene. (Kurenai?? Not sure.), but at least she's sort of cute. Tons more clicking, then I hear the arrow shots and sword strike. I'm not sure if this game is about finding a killer before he kills someone else or before he kills you, but the weapons sounds seem to mean Game Over, and so it ends here.
Game #3: Unfortunately, it covered all the ground the first game did, plus all the ground the second did. This means more than an hour of hitting the spacebar with nothing new at all. Gah! Boring. Then, out of the blue, I get this. Yay! Mmm. I don't mind chan, and I won't flee teen/teen, but adult/adult? Yay! I will quite happily take this pairing, thanks! Then it happens. The next shot is this one. AAARRRGG! Get him out of my scene! Blech! Then as a nice little messing with my head, the game goes back to the good picture, then shows Gai *again*! Sheesh... Make me cry, why dontcha?
As if to reward me for getting through images of grinning Gai in the middle of my sexy boy-shots, next we get this image. MMMM. One of my favorites so far. And then! As if that wasn't reward enough! This image came next. I didn't even know Hayate would be in this game! Yay, even if he does look tons worse than he does in the anime. Zombie, anyone? But would we get a sex scene with him? Huh, would we, please? *arrow shots, sword strikes* Ooops, guess not. Someone's dead, game over.
So with those three playings, I'd say I'm at least three-quarters of the way done with the game. (There's an image collection area, and I have about 15 of the 20 pictures filled in.) Was it worth $43? No, not really. Was it fun? Sort of. But am I sorry I bought it? No, not at all! I'm sure the game would be tons better if you could read Japanese, but even without that the reward of getting some (usually) cool scene for all your clicking was still worth it. Even if I did feel like a rat trying to get my daily dose of crack.

So before finding the game in my mailbox this morning, I went out shopping! I went to Mitsuwa (the Japanese marketplace where I had gone to get all those candies that I reviewed way back when) and to Kinokuniya (a Japanese bookstore right next to it). Eee!

blessed_fire didn't work out, but that's probably for the best. If I had been with someone else when I went into Kinokuniya, I would never, ever have been able to pass for a normal person. I'm very proud to say I didn't "EEE!" out loud once! Though I did it over and over in my head. So Much Stuff there! Arg! I now know the meaning of "ferret shock". I didn't know which way to look first; I couldn't stand still, but I couldn't pick which direction to move in! By chance, I ended up next to the calendars first, and guess what! They had a Prince of Tennis one! And half off! EEE! And it's GIANT! Each page is the size of a normal poster! Eeee!
Next I ended up in an aisle of "erasers". They're labeled as erasers, but they looked more like toys. I got a perfect little soccer ball to play with on my desk, and a little lunch box with like ten different perfectly made little items in it! Fish you could take apart, a peeled apple, little rice balls, melon balls on a stick, and other things! Eee! It was so hard to resist getting *everything*! They were so cute and so cool and so detailed... but my desk is all cluttered and I'd have no place to put them, so I just got those two little things.
Then I wandered through all the books! I didn't find much in English that I wanted, but I got a TeniPuri manga. (I always thought manga would be like our comic books: Magazine sized and maybe 30 pages or so. Nope! This is like a small paperback book. Cool!) By the looks of it, it's from really early on in the series, but it'll still be cool to look at all the art.
Compared to Kinokuniya, I had no luck at Mitsuwa. While I wandered up and down every aisle (and smiled at some of the nice people), I didn't buy anything. I'm always a little nervous going to Mitsuwa because I stand out so much (not only am I usually the only white person there, I'm usually the only overweight person), but the people are never anything but nice.
And to wrap this really long post up: It was *very* nice going shopping so early. The roads were empty, and I was one of the first people into Kinokuniya and had the store to myself most of the time. By the time I got to Mitsuwa a few people were there, but not many. And by 10 AM, I was done with my adventures and headed home!
And now back to clicking the space bar! If I can get to the as-yet untouched areas, I'll make more screenshots. Hm, and I have to look at how to BT this thing, too...
