My Animate arrived tonight. Woo! I forgot I ordered so much neat stuff... but I really need to say "enough" now. It's too easy to order stuff, and too much fun when it arrives, but I need to resist!

Tonight's haul includes:

Iruka and Kaidou fasteners! Yay! Onto my backpack you two go!

Two pencil boards: One with Zabuza and Haku (because as we all know, I'm obsessed with them) and the other with Ryoma and his father (the art on this one isn't as nice as I'd hope).

Three little memo pads (Ryoma, Momo, Kaidou), and in the "odd but useful" category: PoT pillboxes! Heh. I always forget to take my vitamins, so I needed something like this anyway... but having the guys' faces on it makes it really odd:

*Thistle checks the box* "Nope, I haven't eaten Oishi's yet. Better do it now!" *swallows*

Hee, okay that was bad.

I watched the raw of Naruto 69, but I'm too lazy to LJ cut, so I won't comment on it. Ha!

Welcome to the world of anime merchandise purchasing addiction! ^0^ I'm actually a lot better now than I used to be, but the worst time is when you're in the height of fandom love, which is why I'm resisting my urge to go look at Naruto stuff. I might allow myself one or two plushies, if the price is right, but nothing else. ~nods determinedly~

I think you're correct on both parts. It's just that I want to be surrounded with everything from Naruto! But the worst is when I find something Zabuza/Haku-ish, because man, I just can't pass anything up with them. Draw them on a used paper plate and I'd still buy it!

*sniff* I am a weak woman.

I completely understand. You really don't want to know just how much TeniPuri merchandise I have. -_-; Of course, now that I have a shiny new fandom to obsess over, I'm itching to buy stuff again. In particular, I really want this (http://store4.yimg.com/I/abctoy4me_1776_49588588) and this (http://store4.yimg.com/I/abctoy4me_1776_108383423). I'm trying to look for cheaper options, because from what I've seen they're all expensive because these are old and aren't easily available, and even on Ebay, the ending price is usually higher than what I want to spend. ~sniffle~

Oh! I just saw the Gaara UFO last night! (While looking through eBay. Sniff. So weak, so weak...) Have you seen a 360 degree view of it? The back of the head is really... odd. His red hair stands up (so you can see it from the front), but behind it was just grey (felt-like material?) so it only looks like he has hair if you looked at him from the front. That sort of killed my desire to get one.

You really don't want to know just how much TeniPuri merchandise I have. -_-;

I don't know about you, but I have a hard time being totally in love with more than one series at a time. So now I have all this TeniPuri stuff and...well, I don't *hate* it or dislike it, but I'm a lot more "eh" about it now than I was when I bought it. So I try to remember that (sadly) eventually I'll probably feel the same way about Naruto, so I shouldn't buy so much stuff now. (It's not working too well though...)

Hmm, I'm pretty sure there's a set of smaller UFO catcher plushes, and then a larger-sized one (around 8" tall). The larger one should be a little better made, so that's the one I want. Not sure if the hair goes all the way back, but they usually do though. Well, all of the plushes I have do, anyway. Maybe I should do more research on these. ^^;

Yeah, for me it's the lack of ability to stay in love with any one series, as I tend to be really flighty with my obsessions. I'm already really 'meh' about a lot of my TeniPuri merchandise, and I also have a ton of stuff from previous fandoms that sit in a box in my closet. Oh, the shame. XD But yes, this is why I've been cutting back more and more on merchandise spending. But you know, if it makes you happy, and you're not paying outrageous amount of money, I don't see why you shouldn't indulge yourself. It's part of the fun of anime obsession. ^_^

Ah, I have no idea what size the one I saw was (I wasn't seriously shopping for one, I just checked everything with his name attached to it). Sounds likely that there'd be more than one set, yeah.

But you know, if it makes you happy, and you're not paying outrageous amount of money, I don't see why you shouldn't indulge yourself. It's part of the fun of anime obsession. ^_^

I think that's a good idea, so long as you can keep it within reason (which I did for TeniPuri but I'm failing at for Naruto). I guess if all else fails, we can always sell the outdated stuff on eBay.

It's funny how happy little things can make you. I have my two fasteners attached to my backpack, and it makes me giggle every time I think about them being here at work with me. (I mostly keep anime stuff out of my cube, as I don't want to have to explain my obsessions to folks.)
