Need something to drool over?
Mar. 20th, 2004 08:51 amI stumbled upon a trailer for a movie called Casshern, and from the very first seconds of it, I fell in love! It's live action, but it looks and feels just like an anime or a video game... then I found out that that was because it was based on an anime from the 70s.
The movie looks totally amazing, and much much better than the anime (so don't avoid the trailer if you look at the anime link first and don't like it). The trailer is in Japanese (with no subtitles), but that didn't stop me from enjoying it.
I wish I could make screenshots from it, there are so many great scenes in it! And man, Japanese people are soooo sexy. Mmmmm.
The song in the second half of the trailer is great, too. I'd love to know what it is.

It's hardly the only movie of its type, of course...Setting aside the many live action versions of anime (which are normally cheesy as all getout), Asian countries release more SF, Fantasy, and Sci-Fantasy than the US, and even the bad ones normally make for fun watching.
