Stupid, stupid kids

I have a PS game. I'm playing it on a PS2 console. PS2 memory will not work to save a PS game, so I had to go buy some. So as not to waste my time, I called Toys R Us this morning to see if they had any. After putting the phone down to "check" for five minutes (during which time I heard the kids working there talk about 1) Kissing, 2) Someone sitting on ice cream, and 3) The fact that that ice cream was someone's breakfast, and how sitting on it and/or butts touching it might affect its nutritional content). Finally they remembered that I was holding, and picked up the phone to tell me that yes, they did have it.
So good. It's out of the way, but I can make it there and back in my lunchtime. Drive there. Walk in. Guy tries to sell me PS*2* memory. I say no. I explain the story again.
Kid looks blankly at me. "Mem-- mem-- mem--ory?"
Me: "PSX memory. PS "one", old PS. Not PS*2*."
Kid: "Mem-- mem-- mem--ory?"
So the kid thought they didn't have it. Or rather, he thought there was never any memory cards made for anything but PS2. I didn't waste time arguing with him, I came back to work and ordered online. Now I have to wait a week to play. Sigh.
Stupid Kid #2:
That Jackass movie, the one where people do utterly stupid things to be "funny". Some kid up in San Francisco just set himself on fire. He poured lighter fluid on himself and set himself on fire, then ran down a sidewalk.
Luckily for him but unluckily for humanity, a cop saw this happening and put him out.
Stupid kids.
