Sick, tired, and spammed
Apr. 6th, 2004 09:36 amI can't deal with 100-150 new LJ posts every morning (which is what happens when I have no time to check LJ before bed). Deleted nearly all of my communities (all of them which are active, except the FFXI one). If that doesn't help, well... I hate to defriend people, so I'm going to try to avoid that.
Sick, sick, sick, sick. Bah. Know what it's like to have your head/sinuses/throat/nose fully stuffy, then to have it all be totally dry (like dried "stuff")? It's like my head is stuffed with bricks or something. My hot shower this morning helped a little, but now I can't even pop my ears again. Slept less than half the night, felt like I was trying to breath rocks or something.
Missed dinner last night (lost track of time), but had a big breakfast today to make up for it. Didn't walk, since I'm sick.
Some sort of new worm (WORM_LOVGATE.W) is going around. My computer here at work appears to have it. IS is ignoring my emails and I'm getting annoyed at the popup warning windows.
Oh! A little FFXI thing I forgot to post about last night: Things were so so cool in the beginning of my evening! As usual, I was running around casting Cure and Protect on folks, fighting things only as I ran into them. Then, once I started to fight, people would come running to cast Cure on me! Hee! I think the whole forest was full of nothing but WHMs, and they were all just waiting for the chance to pay me back. :) Isn't that nice?
I found a new area to hunt though, so I won't be around the lower level people as much as before. I need the slightly stronger monsters to get more XP -- 15-25 XP per kill won't cut it anymore. I need to shoot for 50-100, leaning towards 100. (2000 XP until my next level.) Oops, I forgot, I probably can't go leveling up tonight. I need to take care of tons of in-city stuff. I'm holding too many mission items, I need to hand them off to the right NPCs so I can clear up space. (Last night I had to throw out a lot of stuff, bah!) Maybe I'll have time to do both, I really want to kill things so I can get stronger and then kill goblins. Evil goblins! You die now! (Or soon!)

Date: 2004-04-06 11:54 am (UTC)You can get that... in a group. Solo, I consider 25-36exp to be good exp, and 12-15 more towards the not-good end.
In a group, less than 100 is crappy exp, and less than 150 is non-optimal.
As a WHM, starting around 12th to 15th level, you will be able to instantly get into a group in Valkurm Dunes, and you'll be able to pick and choose between groups. Then you can expect to start getting 100+ exp per fight.

Date: 2004-04-06 02:21 pm (UTC)Hee, partying! I'm so excited to try that, but also a little worried about stumbling into a sucky/mean/bad one. (Or making a big mistake myself and ending up killing everyone.) But either way, it'll be exciting! Eee! :)
