Quick update on a great night! (FFXI)

Man, what a night! My linkshell friends (linkshell = sort of like a comm group, a group of people you can talk to on a special channel on the game) were making a trip around the world, to collect special crystals you need to teleport. Though I'm way, way (way, way) below their levels, they invited me along! That I got all three crystals I need was only one of the many good parts of the night. I got to see a *ton* of the world, too! And we took a boat! (No pirates or sea monsters attacked on this trip, though.) I took over 100 screenshots. :) Alas, you'll have to wait for them, because it's after my bedtime, and I need to scoot off the computer.

I uploaded one (full size) just as a teaser! Unfortunately, many of them came out too dark to use. I don't understand why screenshots are coming out darker than I see them in the game...

loneguardian, I saw those giant monsters you were talking about! Eeek! So big! And we ended up in Windy, which is where I'm going to stay for at least a while. I am SOOOOOOOO in love with the city! It's so beautiful! Gah, I can't wait to explore more! (I got my mog house rented there, just need to find a binding spot. I was going to use the death express to get back to Sandy, but got a teleport offer for later instead. :)

I gotta go! I want to talk about more, but have to go to bed! Eee, but I'm so excited, I'll never sleep tonight! What a trip! I think we saw most every monster in the game. :) And every land, too! Deserts, Africa-like places, grasslands, so much! What a great game, and made even better when you know people playing it. :)

Tomorrow I need to check FAQs for this area, and see what I can see. I'll be able to kill different sorts of monsters! And I want to do a TON of fishing, too. (Need to get five more levels so I can get to level ten and do the test, since the guild is there in Windy.) Man, that's one beautiful city!

No more delaying! Gotta go! Night everyone!

You can actually take the fishing test at skill 8 -- you don't need to go the whole way to 10.

And thanks for reminding me that I should do my next cooking test while I'm in Windy!
