Bush, women, and god: Three news stories
Apr. 29th, 2004 10:44 am* Isn't this peachy? A Reuters news story. Quote:
"The Bush administration has stripped information on a range of women's issues from government Web sites, apparently in pursuit of a political agenda, researchers reported on Wednesday."
"The deletions and alterations appear to hew to a political agenda, rather than providing the nonpartisan, unbiased data that has been the tradition of U.S. government reports, the council said."
* However, there are good stories in the news as well. Bush's Approval Rating at All-Time Low. "President Bush's approval rating is at an all-time low and fewer than half of Americans now believe invading Iraq was the right thing to do, according to a CBS/New York Times poll released on Wednesday."
* And on this last bit I can't give a link (it was on a TV news show, not a website), but would you believe that Bush says that God told him he was meant to be president? God talks to him! Hmmmm, maybe God is still pissed about that whole apple thing? Maybe He told Bush to have all that woman-info taken off the government websites?
